  I had the most extraordinary experience at the Medicine Hat Valhalla Pure Outfitters on Family Day 2017! I had driven 3 hours from Calgary with a friend to look at a particular kayak at a competitors store. I was disappointed that I had come all that way and the boat was much older than I was told. I was put on to Valhalla by another customer in the store who saw how disappointed I was. I am so glad that she sent me down there! All of the stores in the down town were closed for the holiday but Michael, Valhalla's owner was down at the store repairing his sign and he didn't even hesitate to invite us in. We had been researching kayaks for quite some time and were at the stage where the more research we did the more muddy the water was getting! He was engaging and entertaining and quite frankly the best educator I have run into in a long time. He gave us the knowledge we needed to make good decisions in narrowing down our top picks. We had already sat in all of the models we were interested in at shops in Calgary but when push came to shove it was Michael's extraordinary customer service that made the all the difference! We each bought a kayak and paddle and a few other things that day and I drove 3 hours home with my new boat all because of the knowledge, service and Michael's personal attention to what I needed as a kayaker and a customer. I can't say enough good things! Check them out! They are worth the drive!

  Just came in to get a pair of Hiking Boots, the owner was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Amazing experience and I will definately be back for both me and my girlfriends hiking gear needs!

  I went into Valhalla yesterday and got the warmest greeting - was made to feel right at home instantly! I love the layout of the store and they are really knowledgeable about what they sell. If anyone is looking to get quality products and service try them out and spend your money at a local business!

  Great store, great service. If you want clothes and gear that is good quality and will last a long time this is the place to get it. Perfect addition to the downtown vibe too.
