  I had a seizure/stroke at beginning of the year. The Dr at emergency said that I needed an MRI followed up by seeing the neurologist. This doctor referred me to the neurologist at Mohawk Medical. I could not get to my MRI due to extenuating circumstances. So I told Mohawk that WHEN I could get it done I would make another appointment which I did and then TRIED to book this REFERRED TO appointment yesterday and again today but their receptionist refused to book me for an appointment to see their neotologist simply because they are 'following heartless rules'. I don't have a family Dr to refer me. I work around the clock at many different cleaning contracts all week. So I can't just easily do this. They didn't care to hear the problem and that it WAS SERIOUS. The Dr at Emergency who scheduled my MRI said I needed follow up ASAP because this SERIOUS POSSIBLY LIFE THREATENING health issue had already waited too long. I would not be heard by their receptionist though. She didn't care at all about anything but rules!!! (as in that I needed a referral. And that that referral had expired. Until I expire that referral should not expire either!)
