  We have done business with Liberty Tax in Calgary for years and it has been great. We went to Liberty Tax in Medicine Hat and the business was awful. The receptionist was wonderful. But the person doing our taxes didn't seem very friendly. No Happy bone in their body. Seemed like they were in a hurry to get through it left me with a feeling of weather I got my Taxes done right or not. I was telling this person that Liberty Taxes has a bill saying that i owe them but i paid it in 2014 but it always comes up on my file that i had not. Just to let you know when you pull up my file. The person was snippy with me because they didn't understand what I was talking about and told me to call Calgary where i did my taxes in 2014 they said it was up to them to fix it i said ok. When the individual was done with our Taxes they seemed to hurry us out the door it seemed they had other plans or far more important future engagements. i felt really mistreated. I phoned Calgary Liberty Tax. They were just as rude. when I asked how i could get this removed from my file because last year we did taxes there. They were so rude and no help they said i have no idea we just except the payments it is not up to us to remove it. Your going to have to take it up with the store that you owe. I said perfect can I get the number to the store. They said I am going to have to call you back can I get your number. Yes gave them the number never got a call back. So never dealing with Liberty Taxes anywhere anymore.

  If you love getting audited and penalized at the fault of Liberty Tax, go see the team Medicine Hat. They're rude, unhelpful, and the first to tell you why their error is your fault. No help in the audit process and completely useless if your return includes any type of foreign income. Not chartered accountants, as the owner confirmed on the phone (thanks owner), so they are masters of taking educated guesses rather than an expert approach. No support from HQ either as it's a franchise. Don't waste your time or money.

  Treated me horribly. I asked if they could do my taxes with all the information I had with me they said yes(because I was going out of town) turns out they couldn't. I told them I couldn't use them because I was out of town for the week and I had four days to file. So the talked down to me, treated me horribly. They made me pay their fee even though they didnt file anything for for me. I brought the same information to Hr Block and they filed everything for me. Don't waste your time or money on liberty tax.
