  Vegan friendly soup was so delicious (red pepper and tomato) it was just what I needed as I was feeling a bit run down from being on a bus from Toronto heading to Nelson. I had a 20 minute bus break so I went here for lunch :)

  It’s clear they were going for an eclectic space — forgetting that eclectic doesn’t mean randomly thrown together. Establishing the quirky charms of an eclectic room requires thoughtful curation and design. None of which is on display here.

  Just visited the new location on North Railway. They have exceptional food and friendly service unfortunately trapped in a confused, uncomfortable, and very poorly decorated dining room. Clashing colors, disconnected decor, and very little attention to detail.

  I stop for lunch every time I'm in the Hat. Delicious soups and sandwiches. Fresh organic ingredients.

  I like that they have a variety of gluten free baked goods and their soup is usually gluten free as well.

  With a professional redesign I could see this place becoming a local hot spot. Until then, the vibe just doesn’t work and we’ll have a hard time spending time here. The old location was much better
